I Asked Gardeners How Climate Change Hits Them
I connected with gardeners from across North America and Europe to understand how climate change is affecting their ability to grow our most valuable resource: food.
I've seen the future. And it's ugly.

Civilization
Maybe I'm the one that's a fool. Do these people know something I don't know? Am I wrong to think human civilization is circling the drain?
Climate Change
We built a single minded AGI-like entity - the corporation - to pursue money. The decisions corporations made in pursuit of this goal have resulted in the apocalyptic end we now face.
The word "collapse" conjures up images of buildings imploding or bridges falling into the sea. Sudden catastrophic events. While the collapse of human civilization will occasionally reach catastrophic milestones (e.g. multi-breadbasket failure), for the most part it will be an insidious process that leaves us of disillusioned
Civilization
The moment a species learns to manipulate its environment for gain is the moment the clock starts ticking on its demise.
Civilization
The unpredictability of human rationality and emotion means the "limited" use of battlefield nukes could easily morph into a full blown nuclear apocalypse.
Civilization
The biggest threat to human survival is the sustainability of key crops under the stresses of rising temperatures and changing rainfall patterns.
acapulco
Acapulco is a large, modern coastal city. Destroyed without warning. It is a warning of what's to come.
america
Israel is of great strategic importance to the US and the West. A threat to Israel is an existential threat to America.
Civilization
The entire system is built off the back of human suffering, bread and circuses. And as long as we accept it, we will continue to suffer like orcas living in an overcrowded aquarium.
Climate Change
This is what collapse looks like. Individuals, companies and governments reduce investment in things that make life better (e.g. renovations, home repairs, pay raises, infrastructure) to pay for things that are required for survival (e.g. food, energy, broken infrastructure).
China
On a superficial level, this appears to be a tit for tat. Terrorists attacked. IDF hits back. However, there are bigger forces at play. These forces could push the world into a new world war, America into terminal decline and trigger nuclear annihilation.
